Opening Day at the Pan Am Games
My time in Lima was absolutely amazing! The water ski tournament was fantastic, but the fun I had with all the great people I met, was what made the trip. I was fortunate enough to stay with two different generous hosts during the week. For the first couple of days Veronica's friend Monica and her husband Rafael put us up at there house on the beach. We had such a fun time with them and their addorable kids "Rafaelito" and Alexandra. When they did not have room for us to stay with them because of the holiday weekend approaching, they made sure we were not without a home. Monica and Rafael made contact with their friends Sandra and Mike, who very kindly put us up for the next couple of days. What an amazing time we had with all of these great people and their friends! We ate fantastic meals; sipped on pisco every day, road horses, played at the beach, floated on intertubes down a river for over an hour at a beautiful estate while eating fresh picked mandarine oranges, and I even saw my first polo match. Oh yea, and the reason we were in Lima, for the ski tournament- I almost forgot with all the fun away from the lake.
Such a cool experience with great people (please excuse my spelling on names- it is hard enough remembering names that are not familiar American ones).
