|St. Lucia is a pretty little town on the Indian Ocean and situated on an estuary. We took a boat ride on the estuary to observe mainly crocodiles and hippos. We found plenty of them.
We visited a beautiful beach on the Indian Ocean that literally stretched for miles. The ocean was spectacular - deep blue and a rugged surf.
The day had a downer though. Sharon and I were shopping in town at a mall where she stepped off a step that she did not see taking a pretty bad fall. She twisted her ankle and probably her right knee. She was really hurt and could barely walk. Fortunately, the people at the mall came to her aid. One brought her a bag of ice and another was a pharmacist who wrapped her knee and gave her some analgesic for the knee that helped.
The final couple of our now close-knit group is Jeff and Annette Brant of Rapid City, South Dakota. Jeff sells building supplies and Annette works for the City Treasurer in Rapid City. They just recently moved back to Rapid City from Colorado. The Brants are going camping in Kruger National Park after leaving Zulu Nyala.
