The plants are viscious here! - this is a 'devil's claw'
That's where we went :)
On the way to the goat farm
Escaping kids!!
Isn't he cute!!!
On our way to see how the cheese is made
Subtley eating big toffee-like sweets!
Having picked up our handmade cheese, we decided to go to the local wine-making area to get some wine to go with it! Another stunning journey (once we'd gotten above the snow clouds!!), this time with cacti forests instead of trees. We met a friendly American couple, Michelle & Rob, and Carolynn from Canada at the bus station, and went to the hostel together (nice to be speaking English with other people!!). The hostel and town were lovely, and we had a bit of a wander once we'd settled in, and somehow found ourselves at the icecream shop trying wine-flavoured (alcoholic!) icecream (delicious - finally something we can drink!). To walk off our icecream, we went for a mini-hike up the nearest hill to see the view from a little chapel there with our new friends. Altogether a very pleasant day - and the sun's shining!!!
