Travel to Lafayette, LA - Lafayette KOANov 14, 2007 |

| Information about Lafayette, Louisiana Weather Information about Lafayette, Louisiana Hello Family and Friends from Lafayette, LA, Our travel from San Antonio to Lafayette, Louisiana was uneventful and seemingly short due to the new book on CD. Houston was a little tricky with the large amount of construction on I-10 and it seemed to go on for a long time. We arrived at the Lafayette KOA at 5 PM after about 7 hours of driving including one fuel/relief stop. We are a stones throw from I-10 but the truck noise is not bad. Somewhere close there is a railroad as I hear the warning horn as I type. For dinner, we dined on Cajun food at a local restaurant. I had three types of gumbo - chicken and sausage, seafood and crawfish - over rice. It was suppose to be an entrée but it was enough for my meal. Tomorrow we have a shorter distance to travel than today to Milton, Florida where we will spend two nights and some time at the Pensacola Beach. Have a great Thursday.
