Margaritas with friends one last time
Sep 20, 2007
|Yesterday we had our morning coffee and then got busy. I went to town to fill the van with gas ($2.69 per gallon) and then went shopping at Wal-Mart.
When I returned to the RV I cleaned a ceiling fan in the living room, put a new windshield wiper on the rear glass of our van, changed the in-line water filter for the RV, and helped Marilyn by doing assorted chores.
After lunch it was time to relax. Marilyn had spent the morning doing some ironing, then she prepared lunch and cleaned up the kitchen. So far it has been a pretty exciting day, huh?
We relaxed in the coolness of the RV while working puzzles, reading, and collecting detailed information relating to our trip which begins next Tuesday.
I took a shower and dressed in anticipation of going out with friends to eat Mexican food. Larry & Sarah dropped by to bring us some information about mutual friends who live in Colorado Springs. The kids also dropped by to tell us about the doctor's appointment and to visit for awhile. They think at this time that the baby will be a boy, but the doc said he was 90% sure. We'll wait to start buying things until after the next appointment next month. The kids want to be 100% sure. While the kids were here we took a few pictures of their new car. It is a beauty!
Bud & Nancy, along with Bob & Nancy joined us to go have dinner. We met other friends, Cathy & Steve and Dennis & Sonja at "El Vaquero" and had a great time. Good food, very good margeritas, good conversation, all shared with good friends. It just doesn't get any better than this!
I went to bed to read before going to sleep but I fell asleep before Marilyn came to bed.
This morning we are going to Quincy, Il to get some Christmas shopping done before we leave.
Well folks, Marilyn has coffee in front of me so it is time to get started on the day.
Hope you all have a wonderful day. I just can't wait to see what this day has in store...
