| Last night we spent hours on the dark beach stargazing! It was pitch black and I haven't seen so many stars in one place ever. It seemed like they were multiplying right before our eyes. Thank goodness for a clear night sky! Today we packed up and left Beachside State Park. We both could have stayed much longer...We headed farther south on Hwy 101 along the coast. The rocks and ocean are a perfect backdrop to the drive. There were times we were so high up and the Pacific Ocean seemed to go on for eternity. We arrived in the evening to Harris Beach State Park. It's right on the border of OR and CA. Our spot is nice and tucked away plus we were welcomed by our neighbors with dinner! They brought over two huge rockfish fillets they had just caught that morning. Yum! |
