Entering Auckland

Coe fishing

All together for a social and a briefing

Drive to Waiwera........ Today was just a day of driving as we did not stop for any sites. The first half of the drive was through farm country with sheep and dairy cows. Then we went through the capital city of Auckland. This is where almost all of the people living in New Zealand live. It was very congested even though we were on the motorway (freeway). Our campground was right on the water and the setting was really nice. We all got together at one of the sites and talked while one of us fished with a hand line. He almost landed one, but it fell off when it hit shore. We all sat there talking. Most of them talked about the black water rafting tour of the glow worm cave they took in the morning. They were in wet suits and went downstream in the cave in total darkness to see the glow worms. It was a pretty rugged tour as they went over falls and they had to climb piles of big rocks.
