Waitomo Glow Worm Cave

Waitomo Glow Worm Cave

Drive to Waitomo...... A realatively easy drive today. We left after the morning briefing and skipped a hike to a big tree, as Susan didn't fell up to it and I have a problem with a little toe hurting when I walk. So the only stops we made were for fuel and goceries. After we got to the park, we walked down the street to a place called The Shearing Shed. They raise 350 Angora Rabbits for thier fur. They gave us a demonstration on shearing the rabbits. Then back to the park for an afternoon trip to Waitomo Glowworm Caves. This cave was extremely active and new renovated. We saw tons of formations and it is definitely one of the best caves we ever visited. And to top of that..... we saw glow worms. Aftere that we jumpted into the hot tub and later attended a get together and briefing for tomorrows drive.
