I Love Cat Food!

Today we are off to the town of Yellow Springs. It is a neat old town with lots of stores and is the home of Antioch College. The first shop we stop at is a rock shop. John has a long talk with the owners and I introduce Alice to Geodes. We cannot wait to get back to the house and open them.

We stroll around town, stop for lunch and head to a fish decoy shop. Unfortunately, it is closed. There is a sign on the door about hours subject to change depending on the fishing! This is John's kind of place and we will have to visit it on our next trip to Ohio.

We drive by a sunflower field for pictures but we have no luck. The southwestern part of Ohio is experiencing a draught. There are no sunflowers left and the corn and soybean crops are dried up. This part of the state did not get the recent severe rainstorms.

Back at the house Alice and I crack open the geodes. It is like opening Christmas presents. Inside you never know what you will find.

After dinner, John and Pat again go fishing. Alice and I continue on our opossum hunt and this time we are successful! Besides lots of cats, Alice has an opossum!
