Our flight to Bordeaux from Birmingham was leaving at 10am, so up at 6:30. I slept almost through the night, so feeling pretty good, although I had some really strange dreams. At one point I woke up and realized that I had been dreaming about work, said to myself, "You're on vacation, so quit that!" And I did --- no more dreams about work :)
The sheep were outside on the hill behind the cottage, so I had to take a picture of my favourite subjects. If you remember, the sheep were NOT there when I was at Box in the spring. Nice to see them back.
Alison, Patricia and I were on the road by 8am for the 1-hour trip to the airport, where we were to meet Kate, Patricia's sister. Along the way they were telling me about how they almost miss planes every time they go away. But they have me with them, and I can now claim Birmingham airport karma as both this trip and the last one we took in April were uneventful. Thankfully we were at the front of the plane, as there were screaming children. But then it was only a slightly less than 2-hour flight.
