Labor Day Surprises - Sep 3, 2007 -

This morning Barb and I went to a self-serve laundry because we thought it would be cheaper than at the RV park. We were chagrinned to discover that it actually cost more, plus the cost of fuel getting there. Grrr!

Then we drove across the Rainbow Bridge just to get tourist information. The Canadian agents searched our purses and Barb's truck. Then, on the way back to the U S, we got our second surprise of the day. We were pulled over by U S Customs because they thought that Barb had had trouble with the law! I didn't know I was traveling with a criminal. :>) It turns out that it was another Barbara E Jones who was the culprit. The agents apologized and sent us on our way. Phew!

Traffic was stop-and-go across Rainbow Bridge. It gave me a chance to take a photo of Niagara Falls from the road. The barrier separating pedestrians from vehicular traffic was too high for me to get across it into the pedestrian way, so I contented myself with getting what I could.
