What a pretty vacation area the little "heel" of Alabama is! I had no idea, except that the Gulf Coast has had some serious devastation the last few years and they keep mentioning resorts. The shore is built up with hotels and the beach is pretty. Inland there is graceful Spanish Moss and lots of pecan groves. Our campground was Rainbow Plantation, which is an Escapee Park. We belong to this organization because it supports full-timers with "Service, Knowledge, and Parking"; SKP. The campground has many long-term residents so they have activities going on every week. The sites are huge and have 50 amp service.
Seems like all SKiPs have dogs. We miss Jolly so sadly. He was failing when we went back through Columbus and we knew he did not want to go on in such misery. I know we did the right thing, but it is still hard.
