Nightlife

This was one of those fill in shows between the two big rallies. Boy was it a fill in. This was a very small fair in a highly agricultural area with lots of hispanics. There were lots of apple and pear orchards in this area. Most of the people coming to the fair were hispanic and hard to relate to. However we did drive up to Hood River one day and watch the wind surfers and kite surfers on the Columbia River. It was quite a site to see and we wished we had the camera with us. We also met a very nice local who grew up in the area, his name was Nick. He was a local farmer and brought us lots of peaches almost the size of grapefruit and a huge bag of blueberries we put to use. He came back to the coach one night and the morning before we left and had some interesting stories about growing up in the area and farming. He really made us feel welcome in the area. He even brought some fresh picked peas to the show one day and I cooked in the waterless pot!!!
