A Group Picture befor entering the cave.

Today is a little cooler. We had a bi-i-i-g storm last night.

I was born in PA. in 1943. Me and my mother lived with my grandparants till my dad returned from world war II. We still lived with my grandparents till I was 7 years old. That was when my mother left us for some other guy. We still lived with my grandparents till I was about 8, when my dad remarried. When I was 3 my first mother had my brother. When she left she took him with her. However, my dad went and brought my brother back right away.

After my dad remarried we lived in a house that was 4 floors high. My brother and I loved that old house especially the top floor. I lived there till I turned 17 when I joined the Army. After Basic and AIT I was sent to Germany for three years. I learned many things there, like how to drive and how to fight a war. I saw many places that my father had been it during WWII. After my tour there I was sent to CALIF for one year at Ft Ord.

Then it was on to Vietnam to do some real fighting. The first month we did security around our air base. After that they ask for guys that could fire a M60 machine gun. From that ponit on I was on a UH1B chopper as a door gunner . This lasted one year. I saw a lot of things I care not to mention.

Then it was back to Ft Ord as a drill sarget traing new recruts for 2 years. They wanted me to re-up but I declined and was discharged in 1969.
