Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

Yesterday we had our morning coffee before getting busy around here. It has been much too hot and humid to have our coffee outdoors. We feel a bit trapped by the weather. It seems that we stay indoors all the time.

We are both ready for a change in scenery as well as the weather. Colorado looks really good to us, and we are anxious to get moving. Hitch itch is beyond the initial stage. :)

The plan now is to leave here during the last week of September, stop in Liberty, MO to have a few repairs taken care of on the RV, move on to Topeka, KS for a day or two so that I can visit the old Forbes AFB, where I spent several years in my younger days, and then move on to the Colorado Springs area for awhile. We have friends in that area and we will stay for a week or so to visit with them and do some hiking in the mountains, before moving on. After leaving Colorado we will go to the Palo Duro Canyon in Texas for a few days, and then move on toward San Antonio for a couple of days, arriving at Llano Grande RV resort in Mercedes, TX by Oct 15th.

Just writing about it makes me feel better. :)

Last night we had dinner with our friends, Steve & Cathy. It was good to see them again and the food was quite good at the Gran Rio Mexican restaurant.

Jennifer called us while we were eating and she is feeling better. We are so happy about that. We worry about her constantly. We just love her so much.

We have heard from our friends, Ralph & Rosalie, who live in Wichita, KS, and they are coming for a visit in September. That will be fun as they are also friends with Steve & Cathy, and plan to stay with them while they are here. We will have a good time.

Well my friends, it is time to get going. Marilyn brought me my first cup of coffee but I need to spend some time with her.

I will be doing tours of Cameron Cave today so we will see lots of bats. I can't wait to see what this day has in store.....
