Finally campsite internet!!!!
Sunday, August 5
Hmm,. To be totally honest I am trying to remember three days backwards. I can do it, just be patient and forgive me for the past and present tense in the same paragraph. I was not able to get back to the Midland library, so it is actually August 7th.
Okay, today was the reunion. It was great, it was suppose to have rained, but it didn't really happen. Maybe a cloud and drizzle, but it cleared up by the time everyone arrived. They are always talking about this "bad weather" in MI. I tell you, Ellen Kay has the reunion scheduled for 12:00 to eat and you can bet you WILL be eating at 12:00. I love being on schedule! The food was great! Awww, you could really hurt yourself on a family reunion buffet, they get big money for a buffet at Soaring Eagle and it isn't that good. Seeing everyone again was wonderful. Sara, Bill, Kevin & Brian were there and of course their families were with them. I know kids get bigger, but when you see them after so long it is surprising how "grown-up" they look. Brittany (Bill's daughter), she is beautiful, so grown-up. Then there were the babies; AJ (Sara's baby) & Owen (Bill' baby). So precious! I can't say enough about them. I could just kiss their faces forever. AJ is so close to a "perfect" baby. He is 9 months, has two teeth and you would never know he was around, he is starting to be very mobile and Sara & Andy are such good parents; I just beam with excitement for them. Then there is Owen; two months old, so sweet (and quiet)and beautiful blue eyes, he mostly slept, but when he woke up you didn't really know it. Bill is so good with him. We (Tiffany, Jamie and I) were able to go to the casino and leave Owen with Bill. I can't say enough about Bill & Jamie. They are wonderful. Bryce is 6 and he is a very typical 6 year old boy and so sweet. He was learning how to swing, but decided it was easier if someone else pushed him.
Tanner & Brady are great, they even let me hug & kiss on them, (I miss my own boys). They (Tanner & Brady) have grown up so much but they promise to come see us.
I sure hope I didn't leave anyone out.
All of the Chuck kids, Jill and her two little people and Grandma Smith (she said she wanted to be where "the action" was, came back to Ed & Sue's. We had planned for this. I did forget.... I almost forgot Conner (& Kevin), (I guess cause I see Kevin every day). Awww... I love this little guy (Conner) so much. He walks in...I'm here.... Kinda like Destiny does. So, Kevin & Conner were there too. As I said, Tiffany, Jamie & I went to the casino, we tried to corrupt Sara, but she was more disciplined than we were. Well... I should have stayed home too, I could have bought several bottles of Vodka and shoes for the money I lost. When we got back dinner was on the table, who would have thought we could have eaten AGAIN, but we had a lot of salsa to get rid of. It was funny, Conner is playing with Chase (Jill's son) and someone offered Conner some "Pop". Conner runs out the door and says to his dad, "Is pop a food?" It was too funny. I can relate to Conner, I know how he feels. Tiffany, Brian and the boys stayed the night. Kevin had an early flight (Monday) and Sara's left out in the late morning. We had so much fun, I hope they enjoyed theirselves as much as I enjoyed being with all of them.
Stay tuned more to come
Love
Chuck & Donna
