At a Farm in Lima

With my school friend's kids at the farm

Hello all,

Another quick update from Los Perrin in Peru. Diego turned 4 years old on July 30th. He had a couple celebrations. One at school before his 3-week vacation and another one at home, a week before his real birthday! On his day we went out for lunch with the family. He enjoyed all of them. We hope we'll be able to celebrate his 5th Birthday back in MN next year, we'll need to book flights in advance this time.

For Peruvian independence weekend (July 28) we went to a small town called Canta. It is only 2 hours from Lima towards the highlands. My dad spent a lot of his early years visiting his grandpa who had a big ranch there. He has very good memories he wanted to pass along to his grandkids.

35W Bridge

We are so thankful all our family and friends are doing ok. We got so scared when we learned about the collapse of the 35W bridge. Thank you all for the quick updates. It is so hard to learn about something like that when you are so far away, thanks to the Internet we were able to comunicate pretty fast.

Jeremy will be traveling to Chile this weekend (Aug 11 and 12)for school purposes. We'll be updating more pictures when we comes back.

Can't wait to see Jenna who is coming in October, Uncle Jerry and fam who are coming in December to spend the holidays, and Mary Kaye and Don coming in January of 2008. To all family and friends, we would love to have you over. Please feel free to come and visit us anytime!!!
