RV Park in Gig Harbor--aptly named

Entryway into Gig Harbor RV Resort

We had a nice spot, convenient to get in and out.

Beauty on Gig Harbor

Dinner at the Green Turtle

July 28-Moving to Gig Harbor today. Got the rig ready to go and drove from Westport to Gig Harbor. Really did just fine until we got to Tacoma and were trying to come across the old Tacoma Narrows Bridge. 4 lanes narrowed down to 2, we were stuck in traffic for at least 2 hours, and I really had to go to the bathroom. Luckily I did not explode before we finally made it over the river. (It's a good thing that I did not rely on autopilot to drive)

Found the RV park just fine.

Had to back in, but had a nice site.

Walked around Gig Harbor

in the afternoon, learning about the place. One of the prettiest places we have been.

It has a small but attractive harbor with marinas on both sides of it. We drove around to look at the beautiful houses up on the side of the hill and visited the county park on the other side of the hill facing Puget Sound.

Ate dinner at the Green Turtle; had a very good meal.
