| After a reasonably long journey I arrived in Caldera, where I took a taxi to Bahia Inglesa. The taxi driver totally overcharged me, as I only had to pay half of the price when I went back to Caldera. Bahia Inglesa is said by many to be the most beautiful beach in Chile. Personally, I did not see it as such, but obviously there are more beaches around, which I did not manage to reach as I was with my backpack and nobody, nowhere, was willing to keep it for me while I went out exploring, so my exploring was limited to the sole beach that is outside the taxi stop. The sand was white and the rocks in the sea give it a special "touch" but it was nothing that amazed me. For me, long, wide stretches of white sand and palm trees work. So after having a meal in the restaurant outside the beach, I just decided to head up to Antofagasta. |
