| I have been surprised by the openness the Nigerians, as well as some Americans living in Nigeria (called expatriates), engage in sexual immorality. It has become so acceptable that people tend to practice it more openly as compared to Americans living in the United States. This public sinfulness sounds similar to what the Apostle Paul discovered with the Corinthians. I have used Paul's writings to remind the expatriates to "Flee from sexual immorality." Paul states that sexual sins are against one's body and our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in us (1 Corinthians 6: 18—19). Whether you are engaged in public or private sexual immorality it is contrary to God's perfect plan. I ask that you fall on your knees and repent right now! "You were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body" (1 Corinthians 6:20). |
