Arrived in Bahrain - Jan 5, 2005

Well, after a few issues on the plane, such as remaining in taxi at Sydney airport for 1.5 hours, and then having the plane delayed because of an inflight brawl, i have made it to Bahrain.

My initial thoughts...

1. What have i done?

2. Get over it!

3. I feel like everyone is trying to rip me off...

4. I know this is unlikely, although not impossible...

5. blah blah blah.

Looking forward to getting settled in Yemen. Sort of wished i had of just gone straight there. Anyhow. Going for a wander around town. Have myself booked into the only hostel in Bahrain, which is decent. It has a bed and a bathroom. Cost me about $35. Although it is only Midday here, the light of day and the vibe makes it feel like very late afternoon.

Oh, i have to mention, the flight over the mountains of Oman was absolutley amazing!! Unforgettable.
