Waterton Lakes National Park (Canadian side of Glacier National Park) was not on our schedule however turned out to be a very pleasant surprise (a sleeper!). Reason, while visiting Gary and Susie in Couer d' Alene, ID they called a friend (Dan) who had camped three months in Alaska last year and he decided to come over with Alaska information. But after a few minutes the conversation turned to his two extra tickets to the Calgary Stampede (Chuckwagon races one night and the Rodeo the next afternoon)and in essence we had two days to fill in. Gary and Susie's son, Tony, suggested visiting Waterton might be a good way to spend a couple of days. Thank you, Tony!
