The campers I had in the second week of camp were 4 men, they were pretty good guys. The most annoying part was one of the men was ill and we seemed to spend a lot of our time in the men's bathrooms cleaning him up...I won't go into any details. Anyway, there were a few annoying parts to the week to be honest, but the most annoying was that the campers just wouldn't get enthusiastic about anything.
Saturday made up for the week though as there was a trip organised to Washington DC for free! So 19 of us got a minibus at 7am and we were driven to the capital city of America. Eva, who has worked at Camp Sun N Fun for 3 years now was our 'tour guide'. She took us on a walk of the main sites of the city, including The White House, Washington Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and several war memorials. It was a lot of walking, but a lot of fun.
It was slightly strange to suddenly be told what the plan of the day was, and I was following someone else's itinery rather than having made up my own like I have done for the last 10 months! Not that I minded, and it was so nice to be sightseeing with friends rather than on my own or with a proper tour group.
