Oreo

Brother Tom

Dad & Dean

Had a great time visiting in Muncie with family, friends, and Oreo. When we got to Dad's house, I called to Oreo and she came running right up to me. I think she remembered us. She has gained a pound or so, just like her previous owners. Dad and I took her to the Vet for her shots and he didn't even suggest that she should lose some weight. I couldn't believe it as my Vet told me she should lose six ounces the last time I took her. She is the same sweet kitty and we can see that Dad is getting a lot of enjoyment out of her. So, we decided to let her stay as long as he cuts back on her treats! Our first meal, of course, was a Pizza King pizza. God, I love and miss that pizza. I picked up two for the freezer to have sometime soon. (When my sons, daughter-in-law & grandson read this they will be so jealous!) We did have one full day of rain which allowed us to be couch potatoes for one day, which we definitely enjoyed. The farmers were immensely grateful as well. The corn will definitely be knee high by the 4th of July. My friends, Ellen and Kelly, came from Indianapolis on Friday night for a cookout and to spend the night. Once again, Dean got to sleep with three women. He hasn't had that much fun since last year when they came to see us.

We taught everyone to play Rummikub and we played every single night. My Dad, who will be 84 next month, had no trouble as he remains sharp as a tack. Dean is so impressed with my Dad's mental ability. I hope I follow in his tracks. I also got to see my great nephew, Brandon, who is cute as a button and big as a bear. He is 19 months old and kept all of us on our feet as he was into everything. My brother, Tom, is the proud grandfather. We did play golf a couple times and it was HOT. The first day was terrible for both of us, but we redeemed ourselves the next day. Dean was happy as he is hoping to take Carl's (of Jane & Carl) money when we get to Springfield, OH, our next stop. We pulled out on Wednesday, the 27th, after saying goodbye to my Dad. He came out to the Big Oak Campground, where we always stay, to help us pull up stakes. He and I made a quick trip out to the cemetery first so I could visit with my Mother. I still think of her every single day and I know she was with me at Graceland. She really loved Elvis.
