Tom and Ruthy's travels travel blog

Smith's Farm is a really nice little place with a really great kitchen/shower block with a nice big log fire (with plenty of wood). You even get a hot homemade muffin when you check in! There's also some sheep, cows, 2 goats and a pot-bellied pig called Pansy.

On the advice of the owners we followed a track along some fields and then through some native bush to find the nearby waterfall. It was really worth the walk and was great to see.

We decided to stay another night and so on the 2nd day we headed for the nearby town of Havelock for a look around and had a really nice day. It had a really nice harbour and some really cool local art and craft shops.

That night another couple from England stayed and we had a great night drinking New Zealand wine and talking into teh wee hours.
