Wall Drug Store in Wall, SD

And another view of the Missouri River

We have finally made it to Hermosa, SD to participate in the Newmar fulltimers rally. It was about 270 miles drive, of which 230 with a hard wind from the drivers side, 39 miles with a head wind, and 1 mile of nice driving. We also had rain during the last 40 miles. But still it was a beautiful drive across South Dakota.

There was a rest stop that had a scenic view of the Missouri river. The view was high up overlooking the river. Very nice.

We stopped in Wall, SD to visit the famous Wall Drug Store. It's a tourist trap, but is a "Must See" stop, once. Their ice cream was sure good.

When we arrived at the RV park, we were met my the guy leading this rally. He gave us our rally packet and told us that there was a tent setup and it was happy hour. So we got the rig setup and went over. We met several of the couple and really enjoyed talking with them. Fulltimers can talk forever about what they have seen and done. We are here 2 days early and most will be arriving tomorrow (13th). There will be 55 rigs here in total by Thur the 14th.

We are about 15 miles from Custer National Park. Close to the Badlands, some caves, Sturgis (motorcycle rally) and many other attractions. We should be able to get some good picture and enjoy the time here. We will be here for the next 10 days.
