Dinner beside the Mississippi
Jun 2, 2007
|Yesterday was a mixed day, weather wise. We had bright sunshine, warm temperatures, then rain, followed by hot and steamy, followed by breezy and low humidity, followed in the night by more rain and thunderstorms.
I did three tours of the Cameron Cave yesterday. All enjoyable with good people who were lots of fun.
After work, I took a shower and dressed, waiting for Marilyn to get off work. Our friends, Carl & Linda, are leaving today and we went out for dinner last evening. Rodger & Renee joined us for the dinner out.
I had a delicious prime rib dinner and Marilyn ate shrimp. Everything was very good.
After dinner I was really tired and could hardly hold my eyes open. We dropped Carl & Linda at their RV, then parked at our own 5th wheel. Rodger & Renee came inside for a few minutes because Rodger had never seen our coach.
I was in bed a few minutes after they left, and was soon fast asleep.
Marilyn stayed up for awhile watching TV but it wasn't long before she was asleep beside me.
We have things to do today. This is our 45th wedding anniversary but we have a relaxing day planned. We are going on a cruise to Alaska next month and that will be our real celebration. We have a few errands to run today, and I plan to take Marilyn over to Quincy, IL to just have fun.
I have a few pictures to add for today. Just some scenes from work. We have a picture of Chris for those who wonder what he looks like. I have mentioned him several times in the journal and one of our readers knew Chris from some years ago.
Marilyn has coffee ready so I will sign off for now. More tomorrow. Hope you all have a wonderful day. As for us, we can't wait to see what this day has in store.....
