Larry & Lee Ann's Journey travel blog

Our spot at Mountaindale campground...

As you can see, pretty empty...but pretty.

It started out clear on our way to Colorado Springs...

And then a slight rain...

And then more water..

And then it turned to this...

And finally this, isn't this awesome!

Good morning. Well, we've sort of taken a break the last couple of days. We thought we were going to just hang around the house but we decided to go to Camping World & to Walmart to pick up a few things we needed & that turned out to be an all day affair! Not exactly relaxing. And then yesterday Larry spent most of the day taking care of some insurance, investment work. Even in his retired stage, he loves to keep in contact with his old clients & occassionally do something with new ones. It gives him a real sense of accomplishment. He loves helping folks with their retirement goals.

We are pulling out this morning for Estes Park, a little farther North & gateway to the Rockies. I am sure it will be beautiful, can't wait to see more. We have really enjoyed our stay in this area & were very pleased with our campground, although it is 20 miles to town. But since the holiday weekend is over, we are one of the few rigs still here, so peace & quiet abounds, except for the birds! The owls were really going at it last night..

We've had a late afternoon thunderstorm nearly everyday, but not much rain with it. When we went to town yesterday, there were thunderstorms all around & I just have to share a couple of the pics of the sky! It was awesome...It is clear, sunny & beautiful this morning, so time to pack it up & head on down the road. See you there.
