Ireland has been a whirlwind from go to whoa.

We arrived at Dublin Airport late in the afternoon, collected our hire car, left the airport for the Ring road, the M50 and headed out to the West. Everywhere, were political posters for upcoming elections.

We spent the first night in Kilkenny, the night of a big Soccer match that absorbed the locals. Our B and B was guarded by the fattest tabby cat ever.
For a meal, we ate a lovely mushroom soup at a lively Pub overlooking the river, where the locals were glued to the Liverpool versus Milan Soccer game.
