Hillary's Marina at Sorrento Quay anyone for icecream!.

no flies on this lanaii, thanks to this high tech fly swatter

We travelled all day yesterday dropping off the camper and catching a flight to Sydney, waiting there for a flight to Perth. Finally arrived at 9:30pm and were met by Faye at the airport and whisked off to her house in Ballajura where finally got to bed at midnight.

We drove out today to Sorrento quay and browsed around the Hillarys harbour setting, before going back to bed for a jetlag nap.

24th Dec: Christmas eve is not the same without a last minute visit to the shopping mall, for last minute present buying spree, and we had an hilarious time in the local Australian Geographical store buying several small novelty items. There were carol singers Christmas decorations and the usual harressed mums with wailing children, we emerged from this shopping spree into the Aussi sunshine, (low 30's) and trundlled back to Faye's house, entertained by two of her grandchlidren. So all is well with us and we hope it is so with you.

Christmas Eve, we accompanied Faye to the midnight carol service, the church was new, only five years old ,circular with a central alter area,it was quite a modern service ,we got to bed at 2am still jet lagged. We tried to ring home at midnight UK time but all the lines were engaged.
