OK, it's official. I am now the newest guide at the Mark Twain Cave. Marilyn was a special guest on my first tour. During the day I gave four tours of Mark Twain Cave. On the last tour, there were 25 guests. I really enjoyed all four tours and the guests were excellent!
Marilyn and I had our morning coffee and a short walk before going in to work. Marilyn worked the fudge shop all day. I don't know how she avoids the temptation to buy some and bring it home, but she does. She is proud that she has lost four pounds since we arrived here. :)
Last evening, after we returned to the RV, we sat outdoors with a glass of wine, enjoying the birds and the quiet. Bud & Nancy had invited us to have dinner with them and we asked them to bring it here because we have such a large patio and it was a wonderful day to be outdoors. So the four of us shared a delicious meal at our picnic table, as we got to know Bud & Nancy better. They are good people and Bud entertains us all with his great sense of humor. We parted shortly after dinner because the sun was behind the hill and it began to get chilly. A nice evening with new friends!
I have promised to show some pictures of the people here at the Cave complex, so today they are coming your way. Hope you enjoy the pictures. We don't have pictures of everyone so there will be more later.
I do want all of you to know that the work camping job has become fun, but we still feel that loss of freedom.
Today I have some RV chores to get done. I need to dump the holding tanks and Marilyn needs to do laundry. We aren't out and about very much due to the high price of gasoline and diesel fuel.
I have been trying to come up with a plan to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary on June 2nd. Jennifer & Steve will celebrate their 6 month anniversary on the same day, as they were married on Dec 2nd. :)
Well folks, we better get started on the day. I still have to post some pictures for you. Can't wait to see what adventures are in store for today.....
