Hi there,

we have finally arrived back in Kathmandu, after a 24 hour delay due to bad weather. We got to Lukla airport (3000m) yesterday got all checked in the clouds came in. Now as the airstrip is very short and on the side of a mountain we could forgive the pilot for giving it a miss. Everything was getting a little desperate as we had run out of money, really stinking and no clean clothes, but fortunately we got out today after a short scare again with the weather. Good job really as we spent our last money on some beers last night and had run out of toilet paper and had no money to buy a new roll. We have been busy doing our shopping today as we are of to the Chitwan National Pak tomorrow for 3 days, where we get to go on a Elephant Safari, I think they are the future for me, can take my weight better than Mongolian horses. Think we do some canoeing as well and possibbly a jeep safari. Hoping to see a Tiger but suspect I will be lucky to see a squirrel. When I get back to Bangladesh Wednesday I will write more about my Everest Trek, or might just wait to bore you all on my return in a couple of weeks.

Can I ask a favour, please don't send me funnies or chain mail to my hotmail account. Out here I don't have time to open them and they take ages to delete.

Send mor e-mails on this site and let me know the gossip.

Thanks Gary
