Now in Luang Prabang. The 12 hour journey in 1st gear is worth it as this is a beautiful, laid back spot on the banks of the Mekong River.

Took a trip up the river, drank some rice whisky and chewed on some pickled seaweed. Unfortunately the green stuff left the both of us bedridden for a day and a half with a nasty bout of food poisoning. Still recovering.

All in all a quietish few days before we leave for Bangkok on Wednesday. Two days there before heading down to the islands of Ko Samui and Ko Pha Ngan for Christmas on the beach.

Merry Christmas to you all.
