View from the mountains above Bariloche

The llao llao hotel complete with golf course. We just didn´t like...

We arrived in Bariloche at about midday after a long bus journey with not much sleep. It is a beautiful mountain resort that is a major ski centre in the winter (thoughts of future skiing holidays passed through both our heads....!). We found a comfortable place to stay and then headed out to have a look around. Found a good Irish pub ! called the Pilgrim where they do good daily menus at a good price (about $5 for a 3 course meal with a pint of beer or glass of wine !). Went back there in the evening for a couple of bottles of wine and then onto the south bar (bit strange, looks a bit dodgy but was friendly enough) for more drinks.......

The cable car up to cerro otto was quite nice. The views were good but not amazing. It costs 25 pesos to get up there which, on reflection probably wasn't worth it. Still we had a walk around up the top and enjoyed sitting in the sun. We had a walk around Bariloche in the evening and we sat in the main square watching life go by. Went to a great italian restaurant called La Trattoria on Moreno (between villegas and rolando). The food was excellent and cheap as well. Highly Recommended.

Today we took a tour around ´Circuit chico'. Took in a few good panoramic views, saw the Llao Llao hotel which was quite impressive (with it's own golf course). Off for another long 19 hr bus journey to Buenos Aires this afternoon, before going to Estancia El Ombu for christmas !
