Happy Mothers Day to all ladies visiting this site.

This week found us visiting a couple of local waterfalls. They are not as large as we see in Oregon but for the flat lands of the east coast they were impressive.

We attended the "Dedication of North Carolina Civil War Trail Marker". This is the site of where the "25th NC Infantry" surrendered three weeks after the Civil War was officially over. It took three weeks for the word to reach Franklin, NC. They uncovered a large monument and had a reenactment of the surrender.

We have also continued our quest to become rich in the mining of gems and gold. We are not rich! We have found some small rubies and sapphires as well as many different types of quartz.

Today due to a very low connection to the internet from this area there will be no pictures. Tomorrow night we will be in a different location and I'll then post some pictures.

lücklicher Muttertag zu allen Damen, die diesen Aufstellungsort besichtigen. Diese Woche fand uns, ein Paar der lokalen Wasserfälle zu besuchen. Sie sind nicht so groß, wie wir in Oregon sehen, aber für die flachen Länder der Ostküste sie eindrucksvoll waren. Wir sorgten uns die "Widmung Nord-Carolina der Bürgerkrieg-Hintermarkierung". Dieses ist der Aufstellungsort von, dem die "25. NC Infanterie" übergab, drei Wochen nachdem der Bürgerkrieg offiziell rüber sein. Es dauerte drei Wochen für das Wort zur Reichweite Franklin, NC. Sie legten ein großes Denkmal frei und hatten ein reenactment der Auslieferung. Wir haben auch unsere Suche fortgesetzt, um im Bergbau der Edelsteine und des Goldes reich zu werden. Wir sind nicht reich! Wir haben etwas kleine Rubine und Saphire sowie viele unterschiedliche Arten Quarz gefunden. Heute wegen eines sehr niedrigen Anschlußes zum Internet von diesem Bereich gibt es keine Abbildungen. Morgen abend sind wir in einer anderen Position und ich gebe dann einige Abbildungen bekannt
