Sonja & Dennis at dinner

Sorry folks, I know this is very late getting posted. The internet has been out all day.

Yesterday was Mother's day and we had an enjoyable day together. Jennifer was working her 12 hour shift at the hospital. Marilyn and I drove over to the hospital to see Jennifer. I am always impressed seeing her at work. Here is my little girl, who has always been a very caring and compassionate person, taking care of patients, being so professional and careful about everything she does. We are so very proud of her.

Jennifer told us about one of our old friends who is in the hospital suffering with cancer, so we stopped in to see her. Please keep Janice and all who suffer from that terrible disease in your prayers.

When we left the hospital we drove to a Chinese buffet for lunch. We were both hungry and ate far too much, but it was soooo good. :)

We had some shopping to do and then went back to the RV to wait for good friends to arrive from Monroe City. Denny & Sonja have been friends for more than 28 years. We shared a glass of wine and visited with them for an hour or so and then walked over to Sawyer's Creek to have dinner. This time Marilyn and I had bar-b-cue ribs and they were quite good. I brought some home for lunch on Monday. :)

We waddled back across the highway and down the entrance road to the campground, where we hugged our friends and said goodbye until we can get together again.

We missed the first 20 minutes of the Survivor finale, but saw enough.

Because the internet caused me to be so late today, I will continue with the journal entry. I saw Jeff last night and he said that they had an early tour scheduled this morning. I was not scheduled to work but got dressed for work after having morning coffee with Marilyn. I went in and gave part of the tour with Jeff, then clocked out and came back to the RV. I needed to dump the holding tanks and drive in to town for some errands.

I filled the truck with diesel fuel at $2.72 per gallon, then went shopping for a couple of items needed for my "cave man" job.

I returned to the RV just ahead of Jennifer's arrival. She and Marilyn had a lunch date.

I finally walked to the office and asked them to call the ISP to complain about the lack of service. Within an hour we had internet available. Great. Also, I had some mail from Gina and Stephan, who became close friends while we were in San Antonio.

Back to work tomorrow. Perhaps I will be giving tours by myself before the end of the week. :)

Well, my friends, it is time to post some pictures for you. I want to introduce you to the area we are staying in so I have some pics of the campground and of Sawyers Creek, where the food is so good.

Ok, time to go. Can't wait until tomorrow as the adventure continues....
