Volcan Agua from Antigua
well I arrived in antigua... I sorted out my school on the thursday and had my first lesson on friday...
well I have been studying spanish for two weeks and there are people out there who think I should be writing this in spanish... well I probably could but it would take me four hours and be partially wrong... and well... not many other people would understand it anyway..
anyway I spent the first two weeks in a studnet house... met some really cool people who are all studying... have been getting involved in the activities at the school like tours etc.. its been good..
we went mountain biking last week down this massive volcano.. I struggled on the way up (thin air you see) but hammered it on the way down... I would have made it all the way without incident except I was excited at the bottom so rode off ahead of the group and our extremely hot instructor and I put on my brakes only it was the front brakes... I completely flipped the bike... brilliant..
this weekend we went to monterrico for some beach action.. black sand beach though but very pretty....The waves were breaking right on the shore and a poor hapless english lad who was a good laugh but shit swimmer started gtting sucked out to sea... then a wave broke on his back and stopped him... all the while we were laughing thinking it was a joke, but alas it wasnt... I started to slowly walk towards him to save him (very inconvienced mind you) but a big wave washed him up to shore..
I have also learnt to ride a motorbike here which was awesome. Josh if you read this, I am definitely getting my licence when I get back home... wicked...
also in my last week I stayed with a family.. they were really sweet and it enabled me to practice my spanish more which was the real reason for doing it..
Basically I didnt do alot of sight seeing because me and geoff will be coming back here so we will do the volcanoes etc..
