Well Folks,
We have arrived in Goa which is a world apart from the rest of India. We are at a small hotel about 100 yards from the beach. Kendall and Connor arrived yesterday only 8 hours late from a flight from Delhi. Delhi suffers from thick dense (think Tule) fog which stops all comercial flights and trains.
Goa is totally unlike any other part of India. It was a Portugese Colony until the 1950s. It is a vacation meca for tourists from England and the continent. Consequently is has many overweight bright red Europeans on the beach. The beaches are lovely and clean. There are a variety of hotels from modest (where we stayed) to 5 star. There are lots of shacks on the beach serving pretty much the same menus. There are shops selling things from all over India.
We have been here for 6 nights to recharge our travel batteries and to have the kids recover from jet lag.
WE are going to start traveling soon and do a 10 day dash to the south and then home on the 31st. There will probably not be any additional photos posted until we get home and have a cable modem to upload them on.
Take care of yourselves.
Christopher
