Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

Yesterday was a good day in spite of the rain. We went to the local McDonalds to use their wi-fi and the kids met us there. We gave Jennifer many hugs and had a nice visit with the kids. They brought our van in to us so we now have less costly transportation.

I am not comfortable using the wi-fi at a restaurant and always feel rushed. I will keep the journal as short as possible until we get the wi-fi at the campground.

Marilyn and I continued to try to get things in order at our RV. I did take a tour of the Cameron Cave, which I will learn first. Some of the guides don't want to give those tours because of the bats and other critters, as well as because there are no lights in that cave. Our guests carry electric lanterns and the guides carry flashlights. It is a wonderful cave and I know that I will enjoy it.

We had a wonderful night of sleep last night, after a delicious dinner at Sawyers Creek, with Steve and Cathy. The catfish was delicious and they served two of them, along with salad, potato, vegetables, hot rolls, and a drink. Dinner for the two of us was $30.00

This morning I swept off the patio, extended the awning, put out the chairs and tables, and assorted plants, etc. It is beginning to look like home.

Later this morning I am going with Larry to pick up an antique fire engine (circa 1934) and we will be giving rides to kids for two hours at Sawyers Creek's grand opening.

I will post pictures when we have our own wi-fi at the campground.

Can't wait to see what the day brings....
