With views like this I could keep traveling forever

This was going to be a shot of the long beautiful view...

Our first view of the great salt desert that we cross in...

We pulled into the Flying J in Winnemucca, NV, and while Ron waited in the RV line for fuel, I went in and asked about parking overnight. I was directed to the correct area and after filling up Ron drove over there. We were parked next to the fence along the interstate and out of everyone's way. We had a great view of the Flying J and the McDonald's parking lot and watched the cars and trucks pull in and out.

We didn't put out the slides nor move anything except the stuff we store on the bed. Then we settled down for a couple hours of reading and people watching. Ron went over to McDonald's for his supper but I was still full from lunch. As it got dark, I wanted to continue reading so I went to bed and only lasted for a short while. I slept surprisingly well for being so close to the interstate and having the traffic in and out of the parking lot all night.

We were underway by 8:30 and had a pleasant drive the rest of the way across NV. Lots of beautiful scenery and unique rock formations. We had thought to stay in Wendover, UT, for several days - but our plans changed -- see next entry for what happened. :)
