Meanderings along scenic backroads Our 2006 sojourn on back roads of USA and Canada

Indiana and the start of Amish Country Sep 25, 2006

The freeway was heavy with semi's so I was happy to get back onto Indiana's backroads. The drive was through rolling pastorial countryside in dreary weather - misty, showery and cold which has been the standard for most of our trip. We passed many small picturesque farms. We stopped for lunch in Amish Country, alongside a pond choked with duckweed in a pretty area.
