Sanda is not happy unless she has doen a hiil or mountain each day so we stopped at Glen coe on our way back to England for a bit of a walk up a mountain.
Again it was a well chosen path in brilliant sunshine with great views. Lunch in the sun watching some birds and rock climbers. That rock climbing is definitely not for me and I tried not to think of Dean doing such things..it is too scary.
I did have a bit of a trip coming down but was caught by Mel under the supervision of Sandra who was crouched down having a wee at the time. I only have a couple of small bruises to show for it so nothing as exciting as my last fall in NZ that resulted in a broken leg, and a helicopter ride to hospital.
We drove down to Caton, which is the small village in the Lakes District where M & S live. On Sunday we went for another walk up another mountain to watch a Fell Race. It is called The 3 Peaks Race and the hardy souls run up and down three different peaks in about 3.5 hours. Another stunning day and a good walk.
Mel and Sandra have been really good to me and I have enjoyed their company. But I think Mel will be glad to get back to having only one wife to nag him when I go.
I have a couple of days with some long lost relatives in Bootle, Liverpoll and then fly to Milan in Italy for my next adventure. I am feeling a bit apprehensive about this as I have had a lot of trouble even working out the airport and accomodation for the first night. But I suppose I will be OK when I get there. The biggest thing is to remember to keep my things close as theiving seems to be ripe there.
