What a day for a climb of the highest mountain in this part of the world. Again a day of brilliant sunshine and clear skies. We could see for miles. It was cold at the top in the snow and we put our jackets on while we ate our lunch but the rest of the time was brilliant. My Kiwi summer is lasting.

It was a hard slog up a well made track with the last part in snow and at the bottom was the Ben Nevis pub where Mel had a beer, I had a cider and Sandra a nice cup of tea.

Walking is an arduous please!!!

Climbing that Mountain has now been ticked off my list of Things I Must Do in this World.

We stayed in another Club Hutt that used to be the police station and Civil Defence post so my room had a cell door. I felt quite safe. We went down for a drink at the local and I sampled a Scotch Wiskey - quite nice really
