Tonight we are camped off I-5 near Kettleman City in Traveler's RV Park. It is a friendly place to stay and we seek it out whenever we are passing through. It is a cold night here in the desert, a very unfriendly environment. It is near Mike's Roadhouse, one of the worst restaurants we have eaten at in California. So, given the hostile venue, it is a nice thing that the RV Park is so friendly.
I made chili tonight and had Two Buck Chardonnay as an accompaniment. After dinner I am starting the Chronicles again and Bob is planning our trip back across the southern US to Florida. He figures the number of travel days, plugs in a date when we want to be in Tampa, FL, and then can determine how many extra days we have to visit and sightsee.
We are headed toward the Palm Desert area tomorrow. We hope it is warmer in the desert. We have had enough of these 30 degree nights and low 60 degree days.
