Standing Between The Northern And Southern Hemisphere
| TUESDAY, APRIL 17, 2007. MITAD DEL MUNDO, OUTSIDE QUITO, ECUADOR. Mitad Del Mundo means the middle of the world. The equator is just a hour's bus ride north of Quito. It's the easiest place in the world to visit the equator. Due to our arrival late in the afternoon and rain, we had the place largely to ourselves. It's very touristy, but loads of fun. Where else in the world can you jump seemlessly between the northern and southern hemispheres? |
