ok so we finally get to barbados... we were both pretty keen to get there and start partying, watch some cricket, swim... we were going to be here for about 12 days so I will try to make this one big entry
/04 - we arrived about 7:30 and met the other two who had arrived earlier in the day... obviously they were at a pub and dear god, they were maggoted... they had been drinking all day.. the hotel/apartment in St Lawrence Gap we have is gold.. two big rooms, kitchen, big balcony.. perfect. We had a few beers but then had a pretty early night
/04 - Eng vs Bangladesh - rubbish game.. Bangladesh batted first, set a measly total and england did their best to bore the shit out of us taking almost the full 50 overs to chase it down. They are rubbish! We saw the guys out at harbour lights that night.. Michael Vaughn was wearing his cricket hat. He is an idiot. We get 8 drinks with our tickets at the game so we started drinking at about 9:30am... few rums in the sun, brilliant. We kicked on, went for dinner and had free drinks at a club in bridgetown. Hammered!!
/04 - we woke up and went for a swim straight away. Then we decided that we need to do stuff with our days off so booked a cruise, a hire car for a day and other stuff for our days off. We went to a nice beach and just chilled out today... we then went out again and, you guessed it, got hammered!
/04 - Aus vs Ireland - Rubbish as well. Australia won the toss and sent the irish in. They then bowled them out for 92 and Australia chased it down in about 3 deliveries. We had to have a 8 rums all before 12pm. We ended up staying in the party stand dancing after the game because it finished so early. That night we went to the Red Rooster on recommendation of Mr Myers and it was rubbish.. we then went back out around the gap closer to home
/04 - another day off and this is the day we had booked the cruise. It was a pirate themed cruise so we had very low expectations. However, the food was great, free drinks, swam with the turtles and there were these 3 18 year old american girls who were complete tarts who were dancing and getting their tops off for everyone.. I ran into one guy from Deloitte (who's name I didnt bother getting). He might be able to enlighten more on the events with the american tarts. We also knew that the game tomorrow would be rubbish so we had a massive one at some reggae club where we were the only white guys in there... brilliant!
/04 - Bangladesh vs Ireland - I got home at 5:30am so who really cares about this game. Got there late, left early, didnt drink. I think Ireland won it, but really... who cares.
/04 - This was our car hire day. We hired the shittest jeep ever and cruised around the island.. An hour later we were done. Quite a small island but it was a nice day.. had some lunch and swam most of the day. That night we went out to a free drinks club again.
/04 - Eng vs SA - High hopes for this game. England had to win to have a chance of qualifying. In tru english style though, they capitulated and folded like a pack of wet cards. They truly are rubbish! It wasn't even close... We left early and went drinking... On the upside we did the south african team out hammered at the club we were at. Although they are south african so I am sure they were a bunch of tw*ts
/04 - another day off. We went fishing. Dear god, I was keen for this as well, however the swell was about 800 foot and I got extremely sea sick and threw up for most of the trip.. I still did catch a fish though.. I piss small tuna.. rubbish! Was a good day though. That night we went out again... there is a bit of a trend here!
/04 - Windies vs Bangladesh - Windies batted first so we got there early to see Lara. They posted a solid score and the deshies had no hope. We found another bar just outside the grouynd that allowed us to watch the game from the pool... bliss.
/04 - big day! I got up early, went for two dives. Great coral, but not as much fish as I was hoping (clearly not because I had caught them). We then went to the races were we lost some more money gambling on horses, jockeys and trainers we knew nothing about... surprising we lost really...
/04 - Windies vs Eng - last game for us, and last game for the great Brian Charles Lara. He announced his retirement the day before so it was going to be big. He was run out by Pieterson on 18 runs (he is a tw*t) and then England won they game (they are all a bunch of tw*ts). The boys were leaving the next day so we had a quiet night (well relative to the other nights)
/04 - last day in barbabdos. I am staying at a different hotel. Going to lay on the beach and do nothing... enjoy work y'all
