Our 2007 Cruise Around the World on the QE2 travel blog

Bob attended a briefing on our forthcoming Bangkok overland tour at the end of our Cambodia and Vietnam overland tour. He then went to his Bridge and Dance (waltz) lessons while Gretchen stayed in the cabin resting her leg and working on the diary and pictures. We packed in the afternoon in preparation for our six day overland trip to Cambodia, Vietnam and Bangkok which starts early tomorrow morning.

Gretchen went to the doctor again this afternoon and the doctor confirmed she is suffering from a torn or strained muscle/ligament above the back of the right knee. He advised to go easy on the leg and to avoid stairs until it heals. He said that even after all the walking we will inevitably do in the next few days, the muscle will continue to heal though more slowly and that she may be back to normal in 4 to 7 days. She was glad to hear she will heal in due time in spite of the upcoming physical demands.

Bob went to cocktails at the Chart Room Bar with some of the Sarasotans on board, followed by dinner in the main dining room. Gretchen stayed in the cabin and ordered room service.
