Looking back at the Columbia River Gorge

| What an easy drive! With the exception of the incline areas that slow the trucks (and us, with the tow vehicle), this drive was clean and easy! We arrive at the Garrity RV Park in Nampa, ID right at around 5pm as planned and pull into our site. The manager offers to hook everything up for us -- something we've never had offered before -- but we choose to do it ourselves. It gives us a change to verify that everything's working right (and it is)! One of the main reason's for stopping here is to visit Cheri's great-aunt, Alice. But we're unable to get in touch with her. It was a scary search of her neighborhood, as her home was dark, but we eventually found out that she was taken to the hospital in the previous week with a case of walking pneumonia. She's in recovery, and doing just fine. All she wants are a few of her favorite magazines -- like the National Enquirer and Globe. |
