Falls along the Columbia River

A beautiful drive along the Columbia River made for a nice first day's trip. No real stops, though, as we were a bit behind schedule and wanted to get to our originally planned site on this first day.

Combine the hour late start and the stop to fix the fan belt, and we arrive in Hermiston, OR, at about 9pm.

We had called ahead and knew a space was ready for us, and the directions from our directory are perfect. We pulled in and grabbed our spot.

Ed hooked up electricity, cable TV, and water and we were all set.

Of course, there was one minor problem -- upon turning on the connection water was pouring out of the area near the water heater. After Cheri's voice of reason, we figured we'd take a look in the light. A water jug would work for any emergency nighttime needs.

Aside from that, the evening went just fine, and a check in the morning revealed that an elbow joint near the kitchen supply line had worked loose. Nothing a new clamp won't fix.

We're ready to be on our way by 10am the next day, and even get a leisurely stop a the local Wal-Mart to pick up groceries and other supplies (like the needed mechanical items and backups).
