Canoa Quebrada

TUESDAY, MARCH 6, 2007. CANOA QUEBRADA, BRAZIL. We hired a buggy and driver, Cleber, (R$130 ~$65) to take us on a tour along the coast southeast of Canoa Quebrada. The sand formations and dunes were quite spectacular in shape and color. For lunch, we stopped at a beach side restaurant that offered four small grilled lobsters for R$27 (~$13). As we weren't that hungry, we requested a half order for two for R$14 ($7). Fantastic!

Tomorrow, we plan to catch a bus to Fortaleza and, the following day, continue on to Jericoacoara (jher-ee-kwah-kwah-rah), another beach town.
